During Idlewild’s years as one of America’s most important Black resort communities, the Pomiserania Lodge provided lodging and meals for travelers who came to experience Black Eden. The property appeared in editions of The Negro Travelers’ Green Book, documenting its place within the network of businesses that welcomed Black travelers during segregation.
